1st Graduation Ceremony of Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Memorial KPJ Nursing College

18 September 2019, Wednesday held 1st B.Sc Nursing Graduation of Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Memorial KPJ Nursing College.

Honorable Prime Minister Govt Of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and President – The Father of The Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust Sheikh Hasina was Chief Guest.

Graduation Speaker was – Professor Dato’ Dr. Lokam Siam, Vice Chancellor and Dean School of Medicine, KPJ University College Malaysia


Sheikh Rehana and Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque were present on the stage.


The PM distributed certificates among the graduates 79 (B.Sc Basic 1st Batch + B.Sc Post Basic 1st Batch + B.Sc Post Basic 2nd Batch) Graduate certificate by her hand along with 3 Best student Prime Minister Award from 3 Batch. She took photo with all students during photo session. 


Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said the nursing education and training in Bangladesh will be upgraded to international standards as the country needs a large number of trained nurses. "Alongside foreign trainings (for nurses), we're also taking measures so that its (training) standard in the country could be upgraded to international one," she said adding that the government has already created a scope for oversees trainings for nurses. The PM said this while addressing the 1st Graduation

"Now we need huge nurses. Besides, specialised and trained nurses will also be needed as we set up various specialized (healthcare) institutes," Sheikh Hasina said.
