FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. WHAT IS YOUR HOSPITAL OPERATING HOUR?

Generally, clinic operating hours run from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm 7 days in a week Saturday to Friday.
For medical needs beyond the normal operation hours, patients may proceed to the Accident & Emergency unit that operates 24 hours daily. Please contact the hospital at 02-44077030 for more details as clinic operating hours may vary.

2. CAN RELATIVES STAY WITH PATIENTS?

Each patient is allowed only ONE companion to stay overnight (Same Sex is preferable). However, male companions are NOT allowed in a female room. In the Paediatric ward, one parent may stay overnight with the child at no extra charge.

3. IS THERE ANY CAFETERIA IN SFMMKPJSH&NC?

There is a Cafeteria which is operated by own that serves a Bangladesh cuisine. It is open Saturday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 10.00 pm daily and Friday & Public Holiday (Breakfast: 8 AM – 10 AM, Lunch: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM, Dinner: 8 PM – 10 PM). The cafeteria is located at the Outpatient Block west side (1st Floor).

4. WHAT IS YOUR HOSPITAL VISITING HOURS?

Your family and friends are welcome to visit during your stay here with us. The visiting hours are from 12.00 pm until 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm until 7.30 pm.

STRICTLY NO VISITORS AFTER 9:00 PM

For health reasons, visitors are advised not to bring children below 12 years of age up to the wards. Visitors are not encouraged to visit during the morning hours as consultants are making their rounds and nurses need to carry out nursing care procedures on the patient's.

ICU/CCU/CICU patients at the Intensive Care/Coronary Intensive Care Unit are allowed only ONE visitor at a time with a maximum of two visitors per visiting period.

5. ANY FREE PARKING IF YOU ARE A PATIENT AT SFMMKPJSH&NC?

WHAT ARE THE CHARGES AND WHERE TO PAY?

Ample car park spaces are available at Hospital Basement.

For all patients (currently), FREE PARKING is provided.

6. WILL I HAVE ANY DIFFICULTY COMMUNICATING?

No, we have staffs that are proficient in two major languages spoken in Bangladesh (Bangla and English).
If a translator is required during your stay, you can request for one before admission.

7. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME ON ADMISSION?

As you prepare for your stay at SFMMKPJSH, we advise that you bring along some personal items such as pajamas, slippers as well as toiletries. You may bring along some magazines or books to read.
If you are taking any medication, please bring these along and hand them to the Nurse In Charge, who should also be informed if you suffer from any allergies.
For security reasons we would advice that you not bring electronic equipment, valuables, jewellery or large sums of cash into the hospital.

8. HOW CAN I PAY?

SFMMKPJSH accepts payment by cash, BKash, credit card or debit card.

9. HOW DO I GET A COPY OF AN ITEMIZED BILL?

For cash paying customer, an itemized bill can be requested from the Finance Office at Ground Floor Billing Services.
For patients that used an insurance coverage, patient must first acquire an AUTHORIZATION LETTER from their insurance provider. Upon receiving the letter, an itemized bill can be requested from the Finance Office at Ground floor billing services.
