All the counters from ground floor to level 3 are ready to give the services of appointment scheduling and billing.
Upon first arrival, the patient will go through a registration process. This involves integrating the patient’s information to our hospital database according to their NID or birth certificate. Patient registration is a necessary process in hospitals as it establishes a unique identity for every patient within the healthcare system. Through registration, essential information such as personal details, medical history, contact information, and previous visits is recorded and maintained in the hospital database. This helps healthcare providers quickly access accurate patient information, ensuring safe, efficient, and coordinated care. Proper registration also facilitates appointment scheduling, billing, insurance processing, and medical record management. The benefits include reduced treatment errors, faster service delivery, improved continuity of care, and better communication between departments, ultimately enhancing overall patient safety and the quality of healthcare services.
After completing the registration, you will get a unique Medical Registration Number (MRN) and a Patient’s identity card. This MRN is your unique identification at KPJ Specialized Hospital. Next time when you visit KPJSH just bring the ID card with you or simply tell the MRN. The rest will be taken care of.
Upon completion of the registration and payment of the consultation fee, the patient will be guided to the waiting area of the desired OPD and consultant. As soon as the patient arrives at the OPD’s waiting zone, the clinical assistant will call patients’ name by the appointment serial and conduct an initial assessment of the patient including height and weight measurement with basic vital signs check (like blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate etc.).
Depending on the schedule and appointment serial of the patient, there might be a waiting period before seeing the Consultant.
After consulting with our consultant, the patient will receive a computer-generated prescription with the necessary medications and advices. If required, our doctors may advice diagnostic tests or other investigations. Our hospital is equipped with advanced and modern equipment along with skilled manpower which plays an important role in providing better services to the patients through accurate diagnosis.
After visiting the consultants, the patients can provide samples for all their investigations and diagnostic tests at our hospital at level 3, just behind the billing counters, the same floor where most of the OPDs are located. This reduces hassle and ease the services.
While leaving the hospital after completing the consultation and sample giving procedures, you can also avail all the medications prescribed by the doctors from our dedicated pharmacy located at the ground floor, just near to the main entrance.
Our hospital pharmacy ensures patients receive safe, high-quality, and authentic medicines under strict clinical supervision. Medicines are sourced directly from authorized distributors and stored following international standards to maintain efficacy and safety. Proper temperature monitoring and cold-chain management are maintained for sensitive drugs such as vaccines, insulin, and biologics. The pharmacy is operated by qualified pharmacists who verify prescriptions, check for drug interactions, and ensure correct dispensing. Purchasing medicines from the hospital pharmacy also guarantees immediate availability of prescribed drugs and reduces the risk of counterfeit or improperly stored medicines.
