Dr. Afsana Yasmin is presently serving as a paediatrician and paediatric gastroenterologist in KPJ specialized hospital, Gazipur. Dr. Afsana has graduated from Sher-E-Bangla medical college, Barishal. Dr.Afsana received her post-graduate (MD) degree from Bangladesh medical university (former- Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BASMMU) as well as MCPS from BCPS Dhaka. She also received MRCPCH from Royal college of Paediatrics and Child Health, England.
Dr. Afsana worked in Paediatric department of Different hospitals- Ad-Din medical college hospital, Bangladesh medical university, Sirajul Islam medical college hospital, Apolo Hospital later Evercare Hospital. She also obtained her experience in advanced paediatric gastroenterology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science, Lucknow, India.
Dr. Afsana is the author of more than 20 publications including original papers, reviews, rare case reports published in national international journals. Her main research interest has been in the areas of Paediatric gastrointestinal and liver disease. She is a life member of Bangladesh society of paeditric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and also member of Royal college of Paediatris and child health, England.
